Our Products:
The cleaning products we use on the job site are at no charge to the customer, including the vacuum we bring along to use.  Of course, if the client would like us to use their cleaning products (due to allergies, environmental concerns, they believe their products perform better, etc.), we will be happy to use them.  We err on the green or EARTH-FRIENDLY side of life's equation in that we RECYCLE our cleaning towels and do not use disposable paper towels.  All towels are washed and sanitized.

Cleaning for the Visually Impaired ...

When we clean for people who are visually impaired, we pay even more attention to the results of our work and efforts because these clients:
  1. Review / "see" our work through touch as we explain our efforts to them on their behalf.

  2. Need to have the contents of their refrigerator / freezer reviewed for old, date coded or spoiled food and then need us to explain our efforts.

  3. Need the spills that they have made or caused to be cleaned up.

  4. Need to have things on counters or floor areas put back exactly where they were when we're finished cleaning.

  5. Need to have working light fixtures in their home for sighted individuals who cannot see in the dark!  And then we turn out all the lights when we leave.

  6. Need someone to provide some minimal assistance for them to more easily continue their independent living.

Isn't this what life is about - remaining independent whether you are blind, elderly, have a chronic illness, or have mental and/or physical challenges!

We are a house cleaning service that has always sought out people with Special Needs and we began our business with that in mind.

We currently have house cleaning clients who are blind/visually impaired: see our references.

We believe that clients who have Special Needs, should to have them addressed.

At Chestnut Cleaning Services we also believe that the answer to the question:
"How do you treat a person with disabilities?" is "like a person"!
